TRAINING AND CAPACITY BUILDING

ACT’s training Cell will Established and Recognized for Techno-Social-Managerial capacity building of various stakeholders (including individual, CBOs, GOs, students etc.) in the field of Water Resource Management.

TRAINING PROGRAMS

Training programs is a necessary for the development of desired goal. By training program one can get new speed as quickly as possible so one can become productive members of the team. Training program update the existing skills of one in such a way that one can be ready for implement new technology, develop new processes and acquire new benchmark.    
With this background Arid Communities and Technologies (ACT) with her wast experience of Participatory Groundwater Management in various types of region and various scales from village to basin to aquifers has decided to build groundwater literate communities in various part of the country. To achieve the groundwater management aim with intensive participation trans-disciplinary approach has adopted by ACT and as an intervention building capacity of all stakeholders in privatization.      
It is well adopted truth that academic institution are those potential areas that can help to provide future sustainability at scale with proper experience based inputs to the students in groundwater management. Keeping these opportunities in mind ACT offers various levels training and capacity building program to students of various subjects and classes.     
ACT has established Knowledge Management Unit (KMU) for Techno-Social-Managerial capacity building of various stakeholders (including individual, CBOs, GOs, students etc.) in the field of Water Resource Management    
Under this unit ACT conduct- 
(1) Various training and capacity building program in Government and Non-government organizations there are involved in implementation of the Natural Resource Management Program and- 
(2) Prepare various publication materials for scaling up awareness and education on water resource management.     
ACT organized and Implements different types of training by following way: Type 1 Demand based training program In this type of training ACT design training/capacity building program based on demand of partners. ACT prepare budget for entire training as per requirement of training and follows norms ACT's charge policy for a respective item of the budget.    
Type 2 Desired based training program Based on its own experience, in this kind of training/capacity building program ACT announced/offers various small/large scales training program for various level/type of stake holders. Based on experience of ACT, various training are planned and announced by organization every year. In this kind of training participates apply from various field/organization and therefore these training are mostly fee based/chargeable. In such kind of training candidates are participating from different organization therefore per candidate fee/charge have estimated for the individual participant. The amount of fee/charge has determined based on past experience of ACT's implicated such training.    
Type 3 Programmatic training This kind of training are embedded in the ACT's major program as per the program's aim and objectives. There is budgetary provision for this kind of training under on-going program of the organization. But at the time of execution the respective program in-charge prepare budget and got approval by director of ACT.     
ACT organized above various types of training since 2004.
